Aww... thanks tara. You're so sweet! Umm..I just think society and the media push too many false icons onto the public. A false icon could range from a religious icon to a celebrity to a cartoon character. I also think that people start to lose a sense of self because they are being defined by those that they see. It is just a little liberating to take something or someone that the media has told us is important and to sort of say,"No, you don't matter to me." I thought this might be a nice place to let people tell each other what they reject. You don't have to agree with other people's rejections, you just have to acknowledge their rejection. Feel free to talk about other things, but please reject an icon at the end of each post.

okay, i get it now. that is a really good topic because you get to know a lot about people indirectly a lot of the time. i agree with you about how people lose their sense of self because of the icons that the media throws at us. i was looking through another one of my Nutcracker books and it was so much fun because i had forgotton so many people that i used to dance with! it was the year that we were gingersnaps! were you blue or pink? remember when Mother Ginger put the skirt down too early and hit keely in the head?! lol that was funny. anyway (good times, good times) my rejected icon is...paris hilton...ick. that is all i have to say about her. bye jo!

I reject people who do well in school because they are not over booked and have few extra criculars.
